The Two Halves of My Career: From Engineering to Business Strategy

Before PlayStation, I spent time working across data engineering, BI, and scalable architectures—building solutions that made enterprise data more usable, actionable, and valuable. My role was deeply technical, focused on solution architecture, integrations, and scalability.

At PlayStation, my focus broadened into:

• Security & Compliance – Securing platforms, fraud prevention, and legal oversight.
• Full B2B & B2C Pipelines – Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of transactions at scale.
• Enterprise Scale & Integrations – Working within a highly matrixed organization, driving efficiency and innovation against inertia.

The trade-off? While I expanded into business, product, and security, I was no longer deeply hands-on with emerging technologies. Large enterprises move carefully, prioritizing stability over rapid innovation.

Why AI Changed Everything

AI wasn’t just another technology trend—it was a fundamental shift. I knew I had to go beyond reading and theoretical discussions. I needed to build something real.

Why Build a Platform?

I didn’t just want to learn AI. I wanted to test how AI could transform the way I design, architect, and execute projects.

Key Goals of the Platform

With those goals in mind, I set a challenge: build an operational AI-powered platform in 3.5 months. Every part of the system was co-developed with AI, leading to faster iteration and unexpected insights.

AI-Augmented Design: How AI Changed My Thinking

At first, I expected AI to help with writing code. But as the project evolved, I realized it was changing how I think about problems, structure ideas, and prioritize execution.

Rather than simply automating tasks, AI challenged my assumptions, surfaced blind spots, and refined my decision-making process.

The Hardest Part: The 0 → 1 Challenge

Even with years of experience, starting from scratch is always tough. There’s no roadmap—just infinite choices and no immediate direction.

How I Found My Anchor

• Discovery & Search (FAISS) – Ensuring AI insights were findable
• Multi-Tenant Framework – Prioritizing scalability from the start
• SQL & Dashboards – Delivering immediate business value

Once those core building blocks were in place, the roadmap became clearer. AI not only helped execute the work, but it also guided what mattered most.
